Arite.Store

Small things, seriously good.

Arite.Store is a small, carefully curated shop of rare rocks and original limited-edition cards, made for kids who fill their pockets with interesting things.

Arite/ˈɑːraɪt/

n. A rare mineral. Occurs in small quantities, usually in pockets.

Why we built it

Every rock is chosen one at a time and arrives with its real name and where on earth it came from, written so a young collector can read it out loud. Every card is designed by us and printed in a numbered run — we tell you how many exist, and when they’re gone, they stay gone.

We built this because the most interesting things in the world are usually small, usually real, and almost always worth looking at twice. A rock that grew into a perfect cube on its own. A card that makes a kid want to go find out why. Nature already made the beautiful part; we just put it somewhere a nine-year-old can hold it.

Around the shop we’re building a place for young collectors to show each other what they found and what they made — because a collection is only half the fun until somebody else sees it. There’s no wrong way to start one, and no such thing as too many rocks.

What we believe

Five commitments that decide what gets stocked, written, and shipped.

Everything real, everything named

No mystery gravel. Every rock arrives with its actual name and its actual origin, written so an eight-year-old can read it out loud.

Small runs, big care

Limited by choice, not by scarcity theatre. We say how many exist and we don’t reprint. Rarity should be honest.

Built for small hands

Sized to hold, safe to handle, packed so it survives a backpack. Grown-ups get the details; kids get the object.

Curiosity, out loud

A collection is only half the fun. We give young collectors somewhere to show what they found and see what everyone else did.

Bold beats perfect

We celebrate the kid who tried the weird idea. Nothing on this site should make anyone feel like they’re doing it wrong.

How a rock gets to you

  1. Somebody picks it up first

Every piece is chosen one at a time. Nothing is bought in bulk — if we wouldn’t keep it, we don’t sell it.

  2. The cards are drawn here

We design them ourselves and print each drop in a numbered run. We tell you how many exist, and we don’t reprint.

  3. It gets its label

Its real name, how to say it out loud, where on earth it came from, and one fact worth telling a friend. The same label goes in the box.

  4. Then it’s packed by hand

Wrapped, boxed, and in the post within two days, packed so it survives a backpack.
